With My Own Two Wheels
The film weaves together the experiences of five individuals into a single story about how the bicycle can change the world – one pedal stroke at a time.
Live Performance: Spin by Evalyn Parry
Friday, January 27, 2012, 9:30 p.m.
Location: Showplace (downstairs)
The live performance Spin – through a series of songs played live on a vintage bicycle – recounts a theatrical song cycle about bikes, women and liberation. Inspired by the incredible true tale of Annie Londonderry, who in 1894 became the first woman to ride around the world on a bicycle, Spin blends music, theatre and technology in a unique tribute to the bicycle as muse, musical instrument and agent of social change.
