An unlikely tango team brings a touch of Argentina to Los Angeles.

After the death of her mother, 12 year-old Emily would rather be left alone. She is not shy about her displeasure with her grandfather now watching over her, or her contempt for the man who “doesn’t even speak English.” But a journey through her neighbourhood proves to be a delight, as Emily witnesses the foreign world of cigars, civility, conversation, tango music and dance. With her grandfather’s help, Emily learns a simple tango, and discovers a language they can share.
