This is an opportunity to meet the ReFrame staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to pull the festival together, along with some incredible filmmakers, and some of our generous sponsors and donors.
We’ll be joined by Chester Babcock, a Peterborough-based jazz vocal trio, comprised of Rob Fortin (guitar, vocals), Susan Newman (vocals, melodica) and John Hoffman (mandolin, violin, vocals). They also perform together as members of Carried Away at the annual In From the Cold concert, which you’ll learn all about at the screening of In From the Cold, Friday @ 5:00pm.
John is a well-known contributor to the local roots music scene, frequently playing with Catfish Willie, Washboard Hank and others. Rob and Susan have written many songs for theatre and shared a Dora Mavor Moore Award in 2015 with Beau Dixon for their work on his play, Beneath Springhill: The Maurice Ruddick Story.
See you downstairs!
