Volunteering with ReFrame
The ReFrame Film Festival has an amazing group of volunteers that are crucial to the smooth operation of the festival. Our levels of commitment to the festival include: Festival Volunteers, Collective Member Volunteers, and Board Members. Their roles are described below, but what they all have in common is:
The Festival volunteers work within the time frame of the ReFrame Film Festival weekend, this time frame also includes events leading up to the festival weekend. Festival volunteers are available for at least one (1) shift during, or an event of the festival. Volunteers are required to attend a pre-festival training session. Duties during the festival include:
- Ushering guests to seats
- Ticket selling/ checking passes
- Set up/ take down
Collective Member volunteers
The ReFrame Collective is a voluntary group that meets year round to plan, program, and implement ReFrame Film Festival, REELKids, and other community collaborations throughout the year. The volunteer collective is made up of artists, cultural workers and community members who are committed to the mission and values of the organization. Within the collective, each member works within a sub-group, or committee. Each member of the ReFrame Collective is required to participate in one or more committees, such as:
- Promotion and Marketing
- Volunteer Coordination
- Food Bazaar

The ReFrame Board of Directors oversees the governance of the organization. The Board is involved in the legal and financial decision-making at ReFrame. We are currently recruiting Board members with professional experience in the following areas: fundraising, legal expertise, human resources management, and financial management.
