Securing a vital part of life in Peterborough

REACH for Reframe

A bit of ReFrame History

In 2005, organizers Carole Roy and Krista English brought the Traveling World Community Film Festival to Peterborough, Ontario. With broad community and volunteer support, the TWCFF had all the makings of a successful arts and culture event. In 2009, the group updated its brand, and the ReFrame Film Festival was born.

Today, ReFrame has become a 4-day community event celebrated annually in Nogojiwanong (Peterborough). On the territories of the Michi Saagiig Anishinaabe and Haudensaunee Peoples, our goal is to engage community audiences in experiences of film and art that explore and document issues of human rights and social justice.

What is REACH?

REACH is the fundraising arm of the ReFrame Film Festival. Its mission is to secure ReFrame's future as a vital part of Nogojiwanong (Peterborough) by remaining accessible and affordable for all.

For the 100+ volunteers who lend their time, and the talented local and international filmmakers who contribute their craft; for the dozens of local businesses that sponsor films and events, and the loyal audiences that come out in droves during the coldest, darkest time of year–ReFrame belongs to you, its community.

By keeping ticket prices low, ReFrame's programming is available for everyone, even those most vulnerable. As a nonprofit Canadian charity, such broad community participation would not be possible without the generous support of our donors.

REACH for ReFrame, by donating today.

Every Donation Counts

Every dollar given through REACH has a tangible impact on ReFrame and its programming.

Imagine if:

  • 30 people give $100 each:
This would directly support ReFrame's annual print and media costs
  • 20 people give $250 each:
This would help bring more feature films to ReFrame each year
  • 10 people give $500 each:
This would directly support continued programming for REELKids at ReFrame
  • 10 people give $1,000 each:
This would go a long way to cover the cost of venue rentals
  • 5 people give $2,000 each:
This would help bring more inspiring guests to ReFrame
  • 4 people give $5,000 each:
This would provide 6-months of professional experience for a student intern
