General Submission

ReFrame Film Festival is now accepting submissions for the 9th Annual ReFrame Peterborough International Film Festival taking place January 25-27, 2013 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

ReFrame is primarily looking for documentary films - Short (under 50 min) and Feature Length (over 51 minutes). We are looking for films on social justice issues such as: Aboriginal; The Arts; Economy / Politics / Poverty; Education; Environmental / Resources; Health / Mental Health / Disability / Aging; Human Rights / Activism; International Development; Lesbian, Gay, Bi & Trans (LGBT); Women's / Men's Issues.

Changes to Film Status

If the filmmaker becomes aware of any matters that may affect the film from being selected, the filmmaker will immediately inform ReFrame (e-mail preferred) at info@reframefilmfestival.ca.

Submission Instructions

    Note: ReFrame charges no submission fees.

  1. Fill-out a submission form by providing requested information and submission materials listed in the "submission checklist" in the application
  2. Label the outside of your package
    "FILM ON LOAN FOR FESTIVAL USE ONLY. NO COMMERCIAL VALUE"
    Do not value the package any higher than $5 Canadian. ReFrame will not pay customs fees on shipments. Your shipment will be refused and returned to you if this occurs.
  3. All non-English films must have English subtitles.
  4. Submissions are not returned.
  5. Each submission must be accompanied by a separate form.
  6. Submissions must be postmarked no later than September 30, 2012, and sent to:

  7. Notification will be issued by e-mail in November 2012 to successful submissions.
