Statement of Solidarity

ReFrame is firmly committed to anti-racism and anti-oppression, and stands in solidarity with BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) communities demanding truth, justice, equality, and an end to police violence.

We recognize that systemic racism pervades Canadian society, and we understand that it is incumbent upon us and those with privilege to take a stance in actively addressing these issues within our own organization, throughout Nogojiwanong / Peterborough, and across Canada.

This is why, for the month of June, ReFrame will be donating our share of the proceeds generated through ReFrame at Home rentals to the Community Race Relations Committee of Peterborough in support of the good work being done to combat racism and oppression within our city.

We know that these issues will not be fixed over night, and that this is a small act towards fighting oppression within our community. We will continue to listen and learn from those on the front lines, we will continue to share stories and resources, and we will work hard to find ways of being better allies.
