Isa Willinger was born in Munich and studied there documentary film directing at the HFF. Her debut feature film HI, AI. LOVE STORIES FROM THE FUTURE was nominated for the German Film Award for Best Documentary in 2019 and as such won the Max Ophüls Award. In 2020, Isa was awarded the SI STAR film prize for outstanding female directors.
