When my grandpa died, I was still a child. I never talked to him about Germany during the Third Reich. Now that history is repeating itself in certain ways, I try connecting with my family’s past and the one shared with people worldwide.
Jakob Ossmann is a writer, filmmaker and photographer from Stuttgart, Germany. Thematically his works are focused on society, capitalism and globalisation.
Currently he studies film in Belgium, blending literature and photography to bring together Europe and the world.
He has published a collection of short stories and recently won the special jury award at the united for peace film festival in Tokyo.
